The Northwest PA Workforce Investment Board has created a Regional Workforce Development Network to facilitate initiatives such as employee training, education, recruitment, and retention across the region’s 14 counties.  The Network includes 13 industry sector partnerships representing over 180 employers, as well as a K-12 education partnership, regional and county-level outreach, a youth service system, welfare programs, and innovation zones.  Through the efforts of county level teams, the network identifies and prioritizes employer needs, and connects them to organizations providing training services and funding.
