Oil & Gas Industry Partnership
The Oil and Gas Extraction Industry Partnership - The partnership secured $70,000 in Partnership BuildingFunds to continue the following projects: finalize production of cable television
ads (recruitment to the industry), complete private sector fund raising to launch the television advertising
campaign (goal of $140,000 from participating companies/$62,000 raised to date), finalize the promotional
DVD for use at schools, PA CareerLinks and among other workforce development professionals and implement
the incumbent worker training programs identified by the participating companies.
The partnership secured over $250,000 in funds to complete the following types of training in this program year: UPB Landman Training, Wild Well School Training, the Vavro Training Programs, Professional Geologist/Engineer Continuing Education, UPB Petroleum Technology Credits and CDL training for drivers. In addition to these activities, the partnership will replicate last year’s successful industry specific job fairs throughout the region.
